You must have DAZ3D's Clothing Pak
1 and 2 for Michael installed on your computer to use all clothing items.
It is important to read Applying Clothing Poses to
understand how the poses are used.
Macintosh users will need to convert files before using. The recommended utility for this
is MartinC's MaConverter which is available at http://www.soft-rabbit.com
Boris Clothes includes cr2s and a pp2 for DAZ3D's Clothing Pak 1and 2 for Michael with
additional morphs for Boris' muscular body type. Also included are poses to easily match
the clothing morphs to Boris' muscular morphs. Items of clothing included are as follows:
From Clothing Pak 1
Dress Shirt
Pants
Suspenders
Sock, left and right
Cowboy Boot, left and right
Tie
From Clothing Pak 2
Shorts
T-shirt

Shoes which come with Michael's Clothing Pak 1 and 2 will fit Boris, and are not included
in this package.
Unzip CDIBorisClothesSet1.zip to your Poser folder with the option to restore paths or
an equivalent option provided by your Zip program.
To install manually, unzip CDIBorisClothesSet1.zip to a temporary folder with the
option to restore paths or an equivalent option provided by your Zip program. Place the
CDI Boris Clothes folder (from the character folder) with its contents in your
Poser\Runtime\libraries\character folder. Place the CDI Boris Clothes folder (from
the Pose folder) with its contents, in your Poser\Runtime\libraries\Pose folder.
Place the CDI Boris Clothes folder (from the props folder) with its contents, in your
Poser\Runtime\libraries\props folder.
On running Poser 4 Boris' clothing will show up in the CDI Boris Clothes sub-category
of the Figures library. The tie will be in the CDI Boris Clothes sub-category of the Props
library. Readme files will be in the Poser\Runtime\libraries\character\CDI Boris Clothes
folder.
These are abbreviations used on the morph parameter dials.
U=upper
L=lower
Each body/partial body morph provided with Boris' clothes spans several different body
parts. Therefore, morphs with the same name should be set to equal values (i.e., the
MusclesNeck morph on the Dress Shirt should be set to the same value on the neck and
chest). These body morphs are also set up as full body morphs, and are more easily
adjusted by selecting Body from the Current Element popup, then adjusting the dial for the
morph you wish to apply.
Important Note: The clothing poses are provided for
convenience, and are a great time saver once you know how to use them. However, they are
not necessary for the clothes to function. The clothing will work as any other morphed
clothing does. Clothing morphs have names which correspond to Boris' body morphs. This
section is very important to understanding how to use the clothing poses. Please follow
the steps of each method to apply a clothing pose. Though the first method is the
simplest, it may not work for everyone. The second method should work for everyone.
Method 1
1. Load Boris
2. Load all clothing (from the CDI Boris Clothes sub-category of the Figures library) to
use, conforming after each addition. Try the pants and t-shirt.
3. Select Boris (not an item of clothing) and apply any clothing pose numbered 1 (not 1a)
from the CDI Boris Clothes sub-category of the Poses library.
The clothing poses numbered 1 work because of cross-talk. They apply body morphs to Boris,
and because of cross-talk the body morphs are automatically applied to the clothing. If
these poses do not work, you can delete those numbered 1 and 1a and color-coded black;
then try poses numbered 2 and color-coded red using the following instructions:
Method 2
1. Load Boris Null (if you plan to use more than one Boris).
2. Load Boris
3. Load all clothing (from the CDI Boris Clothes sub-category of the Figures library) to
use, conforming after each addition.
3. Select each item of clothing, and apply a pose numbered 2 (not 2a) from the CDI Boris
Clothes sub-category of the Poses library. You must apply the same pose to each item of
clothing.
4. Select Boris and apply the same clothing pose as applied in Step 3.
These poses do not use cross-talk, and should work for everyone. They apply the same
morphs as the poses numbered 1 via individual body parts, but are for use with two or more
figures. If using more than one figure, repeat steps 2 through 4 for the next figure.
Bulk Trim poses apply a bulked look to Boris. MusclesBack and MusclesThigh1 are turned
down for bent arm poses and a trim appearance. These poses work good for images where you
do not want muscle detail, but want a bulked up look.
Muscles poses apply all Capsces' muscle morphs at their full setting of 1.
Muscles Trim poses are the same as Muscles poses with MusclesBack turned down to
accommodate bent arm poses. The MusclesThigh1 morph is also turned down to give a trim
appearance. These poses work well for images where you want muscles to show through or
under the clothing or when the figure is wearing no shirt.
Trim-No Back poses are the same as Muscles Trim with the MusclesBack1 morph turned off.
These poses are good when you need only front musculature or want no muscles on the back.
Use it with an open dress shirt.
The dress shirt works only with the Bulk Trim and Trim-No Back poses as it does not have
morphs to accommodate the MusclesBack1 morph on Boris.
Poses 1a and 2a
Apply 1a or 2a poses after applying a pose numbered 1 or 2 by selecting the clothing item
the pose adjusts, then double-clicking the pose.
Suspenders-NoShirt makes the suspenders look less slack. Use when not using the dress
shirt or t-shirt.
Shirt OpenOut unbuttons and untucks the dress shirt.
Shirt Tucked tucks the shirt back in.
T-shirt Out loosens and untucks the t-shirt. This morph does not work that well, but was
left in as some might find it useful.
T-shirt Tucked tucks the t-shirt back in.
The length morph on the T-shirt only works with standing poses and has problems when
the body is bent. For mild problems, it is possible to select the T-shirt hip from the
Current Element pop-up and rotate it slightly to work with your rendering view.
Use the UnbuttonFix morph with the Unbutton and Open morphs of the dress shirt.
When using the tie the MusclesChest morph will need to be adjusted manually.
Set MusclesBack to 0.500 or less with poses where the arms are down.
Morphs for pants and shorts were adjusted to work with the shirts. When using either
without a shirt you may wish to turn down BulgeSides and MusclesAbs.
Most dials do not work well over a value of 1 or below a value of -1 where
appropriate.
Some morphs do not work well in combination with others.
If you wish to use Boris' clothing with Boris without the Boris figure controlling the
morphs, insert the Boris Null figure prior to inserting Boris or the clothing.
